Sugar Fasting Urine
This test measures the level of glucose (sugar) in the urine after fasting. Normally, urine contains little to no glucose because the kidneys filter out excess glucose in the blood. A higher-than-normal level of glucose in the urine may indicate that blood glucose levels are elevated, as seen in conditions like diabetes or uncontrolled hyperglycemia. The test is often used as a screening tool for diabetes, especially in cases where blood sugar tests may not be readily available or when monitoring kidney function in diabetic patients.
