CARDIOLIPIN PROFILE-I

Cardiolipin Profile-I
The Cardiolipin Profile-I is a specialized diagnostic test that measures the presence of anti-cardiolipin antibodies (aCL) in the blood. These antibodies are associated with Antiphospholipid Syndrome (APS) , a condition that increases the risk of blood clots , stroke , miscarriage , and deep vein thrombosis . The profile helps diagnose APS and assess the risk of clotting disorders in affected individuals.
Tests Included:
1. Anti-Cardiolipin Antibodies (IgG) : Identifies the presence of IgG antibodies that target cardiolipin, a phospholipid in cell membranes. Elevated levels are a marker for APS and clotting risk.
2. Anti-Cardiolipin Antibodies (IgM) : Measures IgM antibodies against cardiolipin, which may also be linked to thrombosis and autoimmune diseases.
3. Anti-Cardiolipin Antibodies (IgA) : Checks for IgA antibodies, though less commonly involved than IgG and IgM, but still relevant in certain APS cases.
