Malaria Parasite (Slide)

The Malaria Parasite (Slide) test, also known as a blood smear or microscopic examination, is a diagnostic method used to detect malaria parasites in the blood. A drop of blood is placed on a glass slide, stained, and examined under a microscope. The presence of *Plasmodium* species (such as *Plasmodium falciparum*, *Plasmodium vivax*, *Plasmodium malariae*, or *Plasmodium ovale*) confirms a malaria infection. This test helps determine the type of malaria parasite and assess the severity of the infection. It is a gold-standard diagnostic tool, especially in areas where malaria is common.
