VDRL (Venereal Disease Research Laboratory) Test is a blood test used to screen for syphilis, a sexually transmitted infection caused by *Treponema pallidum*. It is often used as a preliminary screening tool, and if positive, results are typically confirmed with more specific tests, such as the FTA-ABS (Fluorescent Treponemal Antibody Absorption) test.
