The Mycobacterium Tuberculosis Complex – TB PCR test detects the DNA of *Mycobacterium tuberculosis* and related species within the *Mycobacterium tuberculosis* complex, which causes tuberculosis (TB). This molecular test is used to rapidly diagnose active TB infections, particularly in cases with atypical presentations or when traditional methods like sputum culture or smear microscopy are slow or inconclusive.
