CULTURE, AEROBIC (PUS)
₹600.00
The Culture, Aerobic (Pus) test is used to identify bacterial or fungal infections present in a pus sample. Pus is a thick fluid that accumulates at the site of infection, typically containing dead white blood cells, bacteria, and tissue debris. A sample of pus is collected from an infected area, such as a wound, abscess, or surgical site, and cultured in an aerobic environment (with oxygen) to promote the growth of any bacteria or fungi present.
This test helps diagnose infections, including skin abscesses , wound infections , osteomyelitis , or other soft tissue infections. Identifying the specific microorganism responsible for the infection allows for targeted antibiotic or antifungal treatment, improving the effectiveness of therapy and helping to avoid complications like sepsis or further tissue damage.
