Test Description: Pre-Operative Profile

The Pre-Operative Profile is a set of tests conducted before surgery to assess a patient’s overall health and readiness for the procedure. It typically includes a complete blood count (CBC), liver and kidney function tests, electrolytes, blood glucose, coagulation profile (PT, aPTT, INR), and sometimes blood type and crossmatch. These tests help identify any underlying conditions, such as anemia, infection, or clotting issues, that could affect the surgery or recovery process. The results guide the surgical team in making informed decisions regarding anesthesia, surgical approach, and post-operative care.
