Hepatitis B Envelope Antibody (Anti-HBe) Test :
A blood test that detects the presence of antibodies to the Hepatitis B virus envelope (HBeAg). The Anti-HBe antibody typically develops after the acute phase of Hepatitis B infection and indicates that the body is fighting off the virus. A positive result can suggest a lower level of viral activity, often correlating with reduced infectivity. It may also indicate a transition to the inactive or “carrier” phase of the infection. However, its presence does not necessarily mean the infection has been fully cleared, as it requires additional tests for confirmation.
